About me

I’m Mario Torrisi and I work in the comics industry as a penciler, inker and cover artist.
I was born in Marino (Rome), Italy on October 10th 1996.
Between 2012 and 2015 I studied Comics at the International School of Comics (Rome).
In March 2016 I attend the “Creating a Comic Book Cover” course at the Idea Academy school (Rome) with an exceptional teacher, the American comics artist Ryan Sook.
On August 23rd 2016, my’s illustrations are published in the book “I miei anni 80” by Mirco delle Cese, with the Fondazione Mario Luzi publisher.
In June 2017 I obtained the Comics Master’s degree at the International School of Comics (Rome) and in October of the same year I presented my first comic book “Quantum Academy – Apocrypha” at Lucca Comics, in collaboration with my Master’s classmates and the ManFont publisher.
Immediately afterwards I had the opportunity to collaborate on the comic “Sheena – Queen of the jungle #4” with the American publisher Dynamite Entertainment.
In November of the same year I took part in the “Digital Painting (Fantasy)” course at the Genius Academy with the teacher Antonio de Luca.
In October 2018 I was invited to Malta Comic Con and I made the cover of the book “Impressions of an island – in Malta Comic Con Art book” in collaboration with Malta Comic Con, Wicked Comics and Heritage Malta.
On February 20th 2019 I published a downloadable adult coloring book dedicated to Tomb Raider, entitled “Tomb Raider – Digital coloring book” with the Dark Horse publisher, in collaboration with other illustrators.
Only the day after, the book “Anni ’80 a fumetti” by Mirco delle Cese is published with the Magic Press publisher, in that you can find some of my illustrations.
